Surveillance Awareness Workshop
The Surveillance Awareness Workshop (SAW) is a half-day classroom, full day classroom with practical exercises, or web based seminar designed to sensitize security personnel to indicators of surveillance; terrorist surveillance methodologies; facility vulnerabilities; and the identification of probable surveillance zones that exist around each facility. The objective is to train security personnel to view their facility the same way as would a terrorist. The course is taught by former U.S. intelligence, law enforcement and military officers with extensive real-world counterterrorism expertise. Using case studies of past terrorist surveillance operations, as well as videos of actual attacks and samples from captured terrorist casing reports, SAW highlights the operating practices of terrorist surveillants and instructs the attendees in how to identify and report on suspicious behavior. This course also includes an Observational Awareness module used to demonstrate, train and elevate the observational skill level of each attendee.
